Conferences & Workshops

The Department also holds regular conferences and workshops to update the skills of visual Art teachers, and practitioners particularly on new developments in the teaching, learning and research in Art Education.

An example of such conference is the International Conference on Art Education , A two-week international conference (July 31st and August 14th, 2009) which was organised by the Department of General Art Studies, CASS, KNUST in collaboration with the African Community of Art Educators (AfriCOAE) of USA.

The conference aimed at promoting visual art at the international level was under the theme: ‘The Kumasi symposium, tapping local resources for sustainable education through Arts’.
