The Master of Philosophy Art Education provides high level training by research for professional Art Educators, Art Critics, Aestheticians, Researchers and Educational/Arts Administrators, Information and communication Technologist for national development. It is also committed to build the capacity of practicing Art teachers who hold the Postgraduate diploma and Master of Art Degree in Art Education qualification for quality delivery of the Visual Arts curriculum. The programme fits into the national human resource development agenda for tertiary education in Ghana.
A M.A (Art), M.Ed. (Art) and a good BA, BFA or B.Ed. (1st or 2nd Class) in any Visual Arts discipline; A good pass (60% or above) in Research Methodology and Thesis Writing at the undergraduate level; Submission of a research proposal on an appropriate topic that is relevant to teaching, learning, and administration of the Arts, Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) or General Education; and, at least One-year classroom teaching or school administration experience.
